The Refinery is that something.
It is a private member portal created by Cheniece Patrick: mother of two autistic children with special needs, and the voice behind the Little Alchemies letter community. Everything inside was built from inside this life, for the mothers living it.

Joining is a choice you make when you are ready. It is not a support group and it is not a forum. It is a room where women in the same life find each other and witness what the other is carrying.

Who is The Refinery for?+
The Refinery was built specifically for mothers of neurodivergent and special needs children who are looking for practical support... Not just for their families, but for themselves. If you are navigating the particular weight of raising a child with autism, developmental differences, or complex needs while trying to remain a whole person inside that life, this space was made with you in mind. The resources, courses, and community here were created from inside that experience, not from the outside looking in.
How do I access everything after I join?+
Getting inside is straightforward. Create your free account, log in from any browser on your phone or computer, and your personal dashboard will show everything you have purchased or joined, organized and ready when you are. There is no complicated setup and nothing to download or install. Your account travels with you, so whether you have five minutes at school pickup or a quiet hour at home, everything is exactly where you left it.
Is there anything free inside The Refinery?+
Yes, and this is one of the things that makes The Refinery different. Upon creating a new account, you will be auto-enrolled into a free audio course just for joining. And the free "You Still Exist" 7-Day Reset Series is offered (from within the "Courses" tab) as a call for reflection. Also, the Bonus Resources Vault contains free materials you can add to your account at no cost, no strings attached. Think of it as the part of the portal that is simply there for you, regardless of where you are in your journey or what you are able to invest right now. Browse the vault, add what speaks to you, and come back whenever something new has been added.
Do I need to download an app?+
No app required. The Refinery runs entirely in your browser (on your phone, tablet, or desktop computer) so there is nothing to download, update, or take up storage space on your device. Open your browser, log in, and you are inside. It is designed to work smoothly on mobile because that is often the only screen a busy mother has available to her. (A free, completely optional Progressive Web App (PWA) version of The Refinery is offered for download for those who would like an app experience.)
What kinds of resources will I find inside?+
The Refinery is built around content that fits into a real life rather than an idealized one. Inside you will find the private members' community for fellowship among those who finally "get it" (ONLY if you choose to add your profile, that is), audio lessons you can listen to on the go, a 5-day challenge designed to be completed in small, manageable pieces, practical-length courses and learning programs, and prompts sized for the actual time you have — not the time you wish you had. Nothing here requires an entire free afternoon or a totally quiet house (because, seriously...). It was made for mornings that are already full and evenings that are already gone.
